Invisalign is an easy and effective type of orthodontic treatment that uses SMARTForce technology to straighten teeth. It consists of a series of removable alignment trays that are custom made to fit your teeth only. Invisalign works by closing any gap or spaces, correcting overbites, crowding, and fixing various other teeth alignment issues.

The Invisalign Treatment

Step 1:  The initial appointment will require photos, X-rays and dental impression to be taken in order to help formulate your treatment plan.

Step 2:  Your records are then sent to Invisalign where they will use your information to create a customised 3D treatment plan called ClinCheck. You will be able to see the alignment of your teeth throughout your treatment and how they will turn out at the end.

Step 3:  If you are happy with your ClinCheck plan, the aligners will be manufactured and will be shipped to your dental practice.

Step 4:  When your aligners arrive, we will call you to book an appointment so you will be able to pick them up. We will teach you how to take care of your aligners so you can obtain optimal treatment results. It is typical that you will be given 3-4 sets of aligners so you can change them yourself every 2 weeks.

Step 5:  It will be required for you to visit us every 6-8 weeks so that our dentist can monitor the progress of your case and provide you with additional sets of aligners

Step 6: Once you have finished your treatment, you may be required to wear retainers to maintain your new smile. In some cases, refinement may be required.
